CQC Community Mental Health Survey: Rethink Calls for Urgent Investment
The Care Quality Commission's latest community mental health survey found that nearly a third of people could not get the help they needed when contacting crisis services, and 46% of young people waited more than three months for their first CAMHS appointment. Rethink chief executive Mark Winstanley said 'far too many people are being failed by a system that cannot meet their needs' and called for immediate investment in community mental health infrastructure to prevent avoidable escalation to crisis.
